Minor Ophthalmic Surgeries
Although most eye conditions can be treated through medication and other nonsurgical approaches, some more severe or complex cases may require surgery to restore eye health and reduce the risk of complications. Dr. Marcelin performs certain minor eye surgeries on an outpatient basis in her Hudson Valley office. Surgery is usually reserved for chronic conditions such as glaucoma, corneal disease and cataracts, among others.
Before surgery, Dr. Marcelin will perform a personalized consultation for each patient to ensure that they are aware of all treatment options, and understand all details of the procedure, including its risks. Our surgical procedures, including refractive lens exchange, cataract surgery, PRK, corneal transplant and others, are performed using the most advanced, minimally invasive techniques to promote effective results and minimal downtimes.
